As the year comes to an end, I wanted to share a couple of the things that I really fell in love with in 2024.
Never Post
This podcast, hosted by Mike Rugnetta (whose PBS Idea Channel hosting was a HUGE part of my life for years) talks about technology, social media, the cultural industry, and more. I've especially enjoyed their discussions of AI-generated art as genre and self-care turning into a marketing term for capitalism.
Hell Gate
I was thrilled when this new journalistic endeavor, owned and operated by the journalists themselves cropped up. I subscribed this year, and actually adore the morning email.
Sunday C&C Eatery
Every time I go to this little stand on Bowery and Great Jones Street I try something new on the menu, which is easy because it is always changing and always so unique. I eat a lot of vegan food, and IMO this is the best spot in New York.
Making coffee with a french press
Move over Aeropress, you don't make enough coffee.
Ticket Tailor
This is the best ticketing platform for live events and I absolutely love using it. Everyone dump Eventbrite, please!!
4DX Movies
After seeing Twister (1996) and Twisters (2024) one after the other in a theater with shaking seats, fans blowing in your face, and mist-effects, I'm hooked. I'll see anything in 4DX.
Siggis vegan peach yogurt
For awhile the Cocojune plain vanilla with some granola was my go-to, but the chunks of peach in this have made it my new favorite way to start the day.
